NOTE: The difference between the Patriarch to the Major Archbishops, is that their Election only needs a Ecclesiastical Communion to the Pope notifying them unlike the Major Archbishop's Election needed to be approved by the Pope, please look here and another one here for more information. The Patriarchs themselves have full authority on their Churches, the Synod of Bishops and their Faithful, Eastern Catholic patriarchs have precedence over all other bishops, with the exceptions laid down by the Pope. Patriarchs are equal to the Cardinals, and even some are Elevated to the Cardinalate, and becoming Cardinal Bishops
