Unlike other posts here of the Holy Qurbana of Addai and Mari, this one is the Traditional Holy Qurbana of the Syro Malabar Catholics prior to 1962. The Suriyani Qurbana is being Chanted not just in Syriac, the Liturgical Language of Eastern Churches under the Antiochian and Syro-Oriental Rite. This Divine Liturgy of East Syrian source was restored by His Holiness Pope Pius XII in 1957. This one is celebrated in 50:50 Formula, by which the Priest first is facing the People at the Liturgy of the Word but when the Eucharistic Liturgy and Anaphora comes, he will be Ad Orientem facing the Liturgical East. Malayalam was only used in the Suriyani Qurbana in 1962
Episcopal Enthronement of His Grace Most. Rev. Vasile Bizau as the New Eparch of the Romanian Greek Catholic Eparchy of Maramures after the Dead of its former Bishop, His Grace Most. Rev. Ioan Sisestean. And we can see the main rubrics surrounding a Episcopal Enthronement and a Episcopal Ordination. He was enthroned by His Beatitude Cardinal-Designate Lucian Muresan, Major Archbishop of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church. Bishop Vasile Bizau was previously the Bishop of Curia of the Romanian Greek Catholic Major Archdiocese of Fagaras Si Alba Iulia
Here below are the few Pictures of the Enthronement:
Above is a fine example of a Hierarchial Holy Qurbana celebrated by a Syro Malabar Catholic Hierarch in India. On this Eastern Rite Liturgy, notice that the Eparch use his Crozier, Mitre and even a Blessing Cross, though at this Video we see that the Bishop does not have any Hand Cross, signifying the fact that half of the Syro Malabar Hierarchs are still Latinized. The only difference it had on the Holy Qurbana celebrated by a Priest is that the words in the Prayers of Altar Assistants changes, to denote that the Syro Malabar Liturgy is celebrated by a Bishop. One known Eastern Rite custom shown here is the Concelebration between the Eparch and his Priest and the Chanting of some Prayers in the Holy Qurbana in the Liturgical Language of the Syro Malabar Catholic Church, which is Malayalam.

Although this is a blog that promotes the awareness of our Eastern brothers, bear in mind that we must acknowledge our Orthodox brothers and their culture here and abroad, never to despise for we are equal in the eyes of God yesterday, now and forever.

"On Saturday, July 4.2009, Nikola Nino Kekić, the newly appointed bishop of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Križevci, was ordained in the Greek Catholic cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Križevci. The consecrator was Msgr. Slavomir Miklovš, the apostolic administrator of the Eparchy of Križevci. The co-consecrators were the archbishop and metropolitan of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, and the apostolic nuncio in the Republic of Croatia, Archbishop Mario Roberto Cassari, who read the bull of appointment at the beginning of the ceremony."
An excerpt of Information regarding the Cheirotonia, or Laying of Hand, of His Grace Most. Rev. Nikola Kekic and below is a Cited excerpt from the Principal Co Consecrator Cardinal Josip Bozanic, Latin Rite Roman Catholic Archbishop of Zagreb:
"Addressing Bishop Kekić, Cardinal Bozanić noted that the motto he has chosen, "God is Love," expresses the Christian image of God in a concise and very clear manner. Since God first loved us, Christian love is not a commandment but rather a response to the gift of love. The cardinal urged Bishop Kekić as a good shepherd to assemble his scattered and small flock of Greek Catholic Croats, Rusyns and Ukrainians in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, to strengthen them in Catholic faith and encourage them, although they are small in number, to be proud of their Church heritage.
Cardinal Bozanić urged the new bishop of Križevci to safeguard and build the community of presbyters, religious and Christ's lay faithful throughout the entire eparchy, Bishop Kekić thanked everyone who has accompanied him thus far on his path of life. He thanked Pope Benedict XVI who appointed him as the thirteenth bishop of Križevci, and the twenty-ninth in the series of bishops of Marča-Križevci, as well as the co-consecrators. On his own behalf as well as on behalf of the priests and faithful of the Eparchy of Križevci, he particularly thanked Msgr. Slavomir Miklovš, who had led the diocese for 26 years, including the war years. Bishop Kekić greeted the assembled clergy with special joy. He urged the faithful to pray fervently for the clergy that they may rise above mediocrity, to be holy bishops and holy priests. He suggested that Croatian families should spend more time together. Let us find time for each other, despite the devastating tempo of life that tramples every person and his dignity, said the bishop."
